Paging our followers! We’re still alive. We haven’t been robbed. We haven’t starved to death (though we’re already losing weight) and we’re happy as can be with… drumroll… a hot shower in our hotel room! Who knew how luxurious a hot shower could feel?

We finally made our first video (below) of the beautiful, diverse city of Kuala Lumpur. Though, let us be the first to tell you, it’s not all glamorous. Anywhere outside of the touristy areas you’ll be hard-pressed to find any toilet paper (instead you get a long metal water hose), the streets are busy with little to no traffic control, and it’s a little hard to know what you ordered off the menu until you bite into it (just like the cafeteria in Elementary School). But nonetheless, we are loving just bopping around with no schedule. You see some pretty cool stuff that way.

It took us about a week to really get used to the feel of the place and the blistering heat. That’s what these travel bloggers never tell you. The culture shock is insane and you feel up the creek without a paddle for the first little while. Plus, the fact that we cracked our laptop screen and lost 4 days worth of footage didn’t do much to improve our spirits.

But now we’re sailing smoothly, sleeping at semi-regular hours, discovering new, amazing dishes (authentic Malay, Vietnamese, Thai and Indian food) and making plans for some even cooler destinations.

Yes, we’re only 10 days in and the trip has already been full of ups and downs, but we are nowhere near ready to come home. There is much more to come!
