Only 9 days left until the big, Malaysian adventure and we’re chillin’ (literally) in Idaho/Oregon for our last few days in the good ole U.S. of A. Going from 17 degrees Fahrenheit to 91 might be a bit of a shock, but it’s worth it for the beautiful scenery – quite a step up from flat, dusty Illinois. Clearly Idaho is good for more than just potatoes!
To bring in the New Year we visited family in Baker, Oregon and completed our first snow-shoe hike. Kaytu put us to shame, completing the hike in record time with energy to spare. We, on the other hand, had a slightly more painful journey. Still worth it though, for that sweet view of the Elkhorn Mountains – just look at those smiles!
We compiled a quick, little video of the hike – it mostly features clips of Kaytu and a little bit of Kristin wiping out, so we think you’ll enjoy! We look forward to sharing many more videos this year and hope they get more and more interesting as we go along.
Remember to watch out for us in the coming weeks – January 11th we fly out to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and hope to make our way through several other countries. So mark your calendars! If all goes well, this should be a year for the books.
See ya’ll in KL!
Your video makes me smile:) Only you could make falling down look so fun!
